Spirit-Led Living: How Flexibility Opens the Door to God’s Divine Appointments
Have you ever noticed that God’s plans rarely fit neatly into our schedules?
This week, He’s been whispering to me: “Don’t be so rigid with your schedule. Listen to Me.”
Normally, I strength train first, then take my walk. But today I felt prompted to flip it around.
That small shift led to a divine appointment.
I met a young woman on the trail, and we ended up talking for nearly 30 minutes. Instead of lifting weights, I got to listen, encourage, and pray with her. She even laughed and asked, “Do you normally talk this much with strangers?”
I said no, but lately my husband and I have been intentional about opening our lives to people.
She came from out of state, visiting Colorado Springs seeking peace and healing. And right there, God brought her across my path.
Only God could arrange it!
We exchanged emails, and I pray that He will draw her closer to Himself.
Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is pause your routine and follow the Spirit’s leading.
Proverbs 16:9 says, “The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.”
Yes, discipline and routine are valuable. But flexibility in the Spirit may be the very thing that positions you for kingdom impact.
Flexibility makes space for Spirit-led surprises.
Because sometimes the miracle happens in the margin. Amen?
“If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25)
